Now before I started i went through the text and picked out the colour scheme that i wanted to bring into this, i had done this previously, but this would dictate the amount of covers i would create and the structure of the layout and format.
FIRSTLY i chose brown as the backdrop, this was due to the story being about a chair, a brown chair. A plain chair. A standard chair. Hence the choice in quite a bland brown, i wanted it to look simple, and not have too much attention around it. So that when i applied the colour it would stand out.
As for the rest of the colours these are the ones within the text:
AQUA BLUE
GREEN
RED
PINK
YELLOW
BLACK
CHARTREUSE
From this i have then associated them with the colours that i think are more appropriate. Seeing as this is for a creative audience, i have decided that the colours will defiantly use the CMYK break down, and the follow the RGB format for the red and yellow. I have tweaked the green purely because it looked wrong. Making it more of a chartreuse colour.
