Embossing and Debossing

I feel like i've had a really productive today, i'm really happy!
Firstly i managed to get my A2 plywood poster frames cut this morning.. after they finished building the room around the laser cutters..
This mean't this afternoon i managed to get some of them embossed and de-bossed up in the print and textiles room. After speaking to them they told me that the most appropriate stock to use would be their handmade stock because it would take the water well and form around the shapes really well.
So following their advice i have done exactly that.

When i first started printing them it was frustrating because the burnt bits from the plywood transferred onto the paper making them really dirty, however after the first couple all the dirt had transferred leaving a clean shape to print with.

I debossed and embossed both the posters to see which had a better effect, i think the embossed works better with larger posters because they have a larger surface area to catch the light. Whereas the smaller posters work better debossed because the light shows up the smaller details more accurately.

Either way i have a range of posters using both the printing techniques.

Im really happy with how they have turned out.
