Seeing as the fire sign is something i've really wanted to redesign i have started developing this elements first. I started by taking it apart, and then transferred across some of the design elements from my branding that i have created.
I have brought across the type, FUTURA BOOK, this is the font that i have chosen to use for the signage because of its extra weight so it makes it stand out. The only problem with it is its kerning, it doesn't quite stand in the right way, and it doesn't seem to stand out that much.
I also added the pattern that i have chosen, i think it compliments the imagery, it doesn't detract from the text. One thing as well is that i would have this engraved onto wood, this is because i want it to have that authentic feel to it, and to create texture to the signs.
